Images taken from a once in a lifetime light show in October 2024, whereby the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) danced over Colorado and much of the country. I knew the best views would be from somewhere up high so I hiked up Aspen Highlands ski resort in the evening, gaining nearly 4,500 ft. and spent the entire evening atop the resort. I carried a nearly 40 lb. pack and photographed the aurora until 3:30 a.m. Seeing the aurora over Aspen combined with the surrounding fall color created once in a lifetime conditions!
