A marvelous autumn sunset over the town of Telluride and the iconic ski resort. This image was created by stitching together five individual images, resulting in a detail rich file that is best viewed as a large format fine art print. The vibrant light on the peaks lasted only a minute, and then it was gone... If you're not present at this exact moment to capture the light, then you may have to wait weeks, or likely another year until you can get fall color with clouds and spectacular light. It's this ephemerality that makes these conditions all the more special when you do get them.

If you skied Telluride you'll recognize this area. I was above San Sophia by the 'See Forever' run when taking this image. Lift 7 can be viewed in the image as well. The runs up here lead you down into town. It's hard to beat the beauty of autumn in Telluride.
